How did I do it?
Simply by changing my thoughts and perception around food and eating and figuring out what foods to fuel my body with to make sure it gets what it needs.
Now I want to help you do the same.
I’m Linn, and I’m a Nutritional Therapist.
I work with people who are fed up of feeling OK, and want to feel amazing. People like you who are tired of fighting the mind - body - food - eating battle.
I help you learn how to use the food you eat to fuel, heal and revitalize your body AND mind. This is the way to use your current struggles around food and eating as your path to personal growth.
I have been where you are.
Even though I grew up eating healthy home cooked meals, I spent most of my late teens and early twenties battling my body, my weight and my relationship with food. I got trapped in a vicious cycle of sugary food cravings, bad food choices, energy spikes followed by crashes, then back to the cravings. I felt tired and low a lot of the time, and I felt bad about my body and the choices I was making.
By my mid-twenties I was struggling with chronic fatigue, I was overweight and had a digestive system which no longer seem to do the job it should. I desperately needed to change my relationship with food and the way I treated my body. I finally stepped off the scales and gave up dieting for good!This was my catalyst for change.
At this time I made the decision eat food which would be good for my body and make me feel good, and not feel guilty about the rest. And boy this change in perception change everything! Both my health and subsequently also my weight.
With my new attitude to food and nutrition, I felt better than ever, and I wanted to help others to do the same.
In 2007 I embarked on a transformational journey to study Nutritional Therapy with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Cork City, Ireland. I loved study the science of food and health and understand how the two are deeply intertwined. Witnessing how simple dietary changes can bring about profound health changes in people's lives has had a profound effect on me. Using food as medicine can be really powerful, and it blows my mind every time I see it happening! I graduate in 2010 and set up my own practice shortly after.
However, I've always felt that just nutrition on its own is not enough to bring about profound healing. What we eat is fundamental for our health, but healing comes in many layers and I've been looking for something more to add to deepen my patients success.
This something more came as the opportunity to study extensively with one of the brightest minds and thought leaders currently in the Nutrition Industry world wide, Dr Deanna Minich.
I completed her certified practitioner training in 2015 and has since continued to with mentoring and been a teaching assistant in several of her online detox programmes. I now integrate The Seven Systems of Health in all of my work, which has made a huge difference to both my personal health and to the outcome of my client's successes. This mind-body full spectrum approach to food, eating and living allows me to truly create a fully personalised approach to health and healing. Which in turns help my clients tap into their own healing potential and thrive as their Whole Self.
The most rewarding part of my job as a Nutritional Therapist, is to see the transformation in my clients when they realise how quick and simple it is to cook nutritious food, how empowering it is to change the negative thought patterns in our mind and how much better they feel, both inside and out, just by making a few simple changes and putting themselves first (for a change!)
Having been on this journey myself, plus having spent years training and continuing to build on my skills and knowledge, I feel positive that I can help and support you on your own transformational journey to vibrant health.
